I began showing an interest in horses at an early age and bought my first pony at the age of 8, I continued riding until I was 28 years, when I gave up to have a family.

Up until giving up I used to mainly spend my time with my youngster who I backed myself and competed in the show jumping ring until I sold her.

Once Alarna my daughter started riding lessons at the age of 6, I couldn’t help myself but to start again. Alarna was lucky enough to own her first pony at the age of 7 who was and still is the perfect 1st or 2nd pony, as she outgrew him we bought Molly a 14.2hh Connemara cross who she still has and uses for cross country with pony club.

Alarna now also has a Belgium warmblood called Geneva who she is currently jumping at Discovery level. My horse Bob is a Irish sports who is a great character and who Alarna has now decided is her event horse with pony club.

Alarnas goals with riding is she is hoping to get an apprenticeship once she’s finished school and continue on to be a coach as well as competing and working her way through the levels to become a professional rider.
